We will find it difficult to explain
to possible inhabitants
of time-shifted worlds
why, with our reactors and accelerators,
we cause catastrophes
in their galaxies and stars,
and why we experiment at all
in ways that unpredictably change
and destroy even ourselves.
The cosmos is the final experiment
to which reason poses
both intelligent
and foolish questions.
And why is the application of science
born from a (defective)
rather than a (flexible theory)?
What the true philosopher-scientist
must first renounce
in order to understand
something of the workings
of the (cosmic mechanism).
On the day when scientists begin
to study non-physical phenomena,
science will advance more
than in all previous years
of its history.
